American Beauty Glossy Box June 2013 (Spoilers)

Hello Gorgeous!

Glossybox has announced some spoilers for the June 2013 box “American Beauty” . Dallas Shaw, a fashion illustrator has collaborated with Glossybox. Even though I have not received my May 2013 Anniversary Edition box yet, I’m really excited about my June box!  I was that kid that looked in my parents closet during Christmas time to peak at what they had gotten me. I am horrible with surprises! I have gotten a little better, but I do love my spoilers!

Ciate Chalkboard Manicure™

How cute is this Chalkboard Manicure? I’m currently debating whether or not to buy this from Sephora. I have been on a shopping kick lately and have to admit that half of those purchases have been impulse buys (I’m not proud). It’s $25 and I can just imagine all of the amazing designs and doodles that have endless possibilities. I’m not usually a fan of Matte nail polish, but I’m in love with this idea.  You can also fix your mistakes and start over again. I have to give it to Ciate for being so inventive! I heard this also comes with a little booklet with ideas for designs.051413_Ciate_BrandImageUpdates

This set contains:
– Mattnificent Matte Top Coat
– Chalkboard Paint Pot
– 4 x Chalk Pens in Teachers Pet (blue), Satchel (white), Jump Rope (pink), Recess (yellow)

Have you tried this? what did you think? What are your favorite nail trends for spring/summer 2013?

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan oil review

I did not get serious about my skincare until I was about 21. I have wanted to try this product for a couple of years because I have always heard only good things about it. I got this at Sephora in the “Sephora Favorite Super Stars Beauty Essentials” kit. It is 0.5 FL oz. and retails at $14. A little bit goes a long way, and all you need is a few drops. You can use it on your cuticles, face, body, or in your hair!

I have noticed that it has given my hair a whole new life. I have dry, damaged hair from using heat and coloring my hair and it has completely saved my hair. I put it in after showering when my hair is still damp.

I have also been using this on my face at night after washing/ exfoliating my face and also in the morning in place of a moisturizer and I have gotten compliments on how rested I look (even though I haven’t been getting much sleep) and how radiant my skin is. I have combination skin that at times gets very oily and I was scared about using oil on my face. The oil is so light that it just absorbs into my skin without a trace of looking greasy. I haven’t noticed any clogged pores either.

This is a product that I don’t mind splurging on. I will be buying the bigger bottle when I run out of this.
If you want to try it out, I suggest the smallest bottle for $14/ .5 FL oz. But if you’re worried about using oil in the morning, I suggest the Josie Maran Argan daily moisturizer SPF 40+ lotion as a morning alternative.

• This oil can replace at least 3 things in my beauty collection
• Non-greasy and a very light oil
• No smell
• A little product goes a long way
• 100% argan oil
• organic with no chemicals added

• $14 per .5 FL oz. is very expensive
• No SPF

Birchbox “Beauty Diaries “May 2013

A couple of days ago I received my May 2013 “Beauty Diaries” Birchbox. I have a love hate relationship with Birchbox. I love that it’s only $10, but I hate that I can get most of the stuff in my box for free at a department store if I asked for the samples or if I bought something at Sephora. This month was really good though! I’m not a huge fan of perfume samples, maybe because I’ve been obsessed with Dolce and Gabanna “Light Blue” for years and I’m just in love with that scent but I’m just not a fan of the perfume. The Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel made up for the whole box! I might buy the full size.

Heres a quick look at what I got in my box:

The Theme of the box was “Beauty Diaries” and you were supposed to fill out the card and send a tweet of the card to win a full size product of everything in your box!  (on the back of the card was a preview of everything I got in this box.)

I haven’t tried the tea yet, but isn’t the packaging adorable?! I’m all about my caffeine, and it says that one cup of this tea is equivalent to one cup of coffee. It also says that Runa’s Guayusa Tea  has more antioxidants than green tea! Made from Amazonian Guayusa leaves

Cargo’s Water Resistant Blush in the color “IBIZA”  The card says  “This waterproof pigment stays put and gives a gorgeous flush” (Full-size retails at $26) I haven’t tried it out yet, but it sounds perfect for summer!

Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Sensitive was an amazing sample! As soon as I put this product on I immediately felt it tingle and do its magic! I can’t really review after only one use, but I loved the smell and how it made my face feel after using it.

Coola Classic Face SPF 30 Cucumber moisturizer for face. The Card says “This Mineral sunblock is infused with organic antiaging ingredients like evening primrose extract and borage seed oil. (Why did I think of Hunger Games when I read Primrose?! I love it!)  (Full size retails for $32)

Isaac Mizrahi FABULOUS Issac Mizrahi Eau de Parfum- “For his first scent, the designer created a fanciful blend of mandarin and jasmine laced with vanilla. (Full size retails for $20-69)

Hope you loved the brief review! What did you  get in your Birchbox?

Sephora Sun Safety Kit 2013

Hello, My name is Erin, and I’m addicted to Sephora Favorites sets…

I ordered this as soon as I heard about it because this product always sells out quick. I’m actually glad I did because online it is out of stock online now. The sun safety kit 2013 was $30.00 at Sephora for Beauty Insiders and they are also selling a store version I’ve heard for $26. This Product was more than worth it to me because a $20 donation from each kit will benefit The Skin Cancer Foundation. How awesome is that ?!  The value kit was valued at $210.00
