It comes in a really cute, bright pink envelope, kind of like the one for Ipsy, but bigger!

Here’s what I picked out:

ellie
When I tried on both, they were a little tight, hence why I’m not going to take a picture yet in them for the world to see! I went onto the site and realized I should’ve looked at the size chart. They do run small. XS= size 2, S= size 4, M = size 6, L= size 8, and XL= size 10. I guess I just assumed I was a medium, like I am in 90% of everything else… but I was wrong. So my advice to you is always check the size chart when getting clothes online!

Solar Flare Leggings// retail value $79.95 -These were a little tight, but that’s more motivation to work out right?! I loved that these have a secret hidden pocket on the top of these. Big enough for my credit card or some cash. It’s always nice to not have to leave my wallet in a locker at the gym. I wore these when I worked out and ran about 4 miles in these and they were really breathable. I paired these with a long, loose tank top so no one could see that they were a little tight around the hips!

Ace of Spades Racerback tank top // Retail value $49.95-  it was a little too snug for me to wear. I put it on and it gave me some SERIOUS cleavage. Which is cool, but I think it won’t look that way after I’ve lost a few pounds.

Both items are made very well! I love that they are pre-shrunken so they wont shrink after washing them. I actually wore the solar flare leggings with a long loose tank top when I worked out and I really loved them! I didn’t feel like they stuck to me and they were really breathable! I would compare them to the pair of workout leggings I have from Under Armor that I absolutely love. I think this is an awesome deal to get 2 items for $49.95 You can get 2 tops, 2 bottoms or a top and a bottom. It’s up to you! The best thing is, you get to pick everything out yourself!

The total of both items were valued at $ 129.90. I don’t really have the budget for spending $130 on just two pieces of workout gear, but I think $49.95 is a great value! The outfit is made really well and I think it’s going to last a long time! I’m excited to give my workout wardrobe a makeover! Check it out at Ellie.com

PopSugar Must Have Box August 2013

popsugaraugust

PopSugar Must-have box is definitely one of my favorite subscriptions. Every month they send me a box filled will full size  products and deluxe samples that is usually over $100 worth of a variety of beauty, fashion, snacks, home, reading, and more. It’s $35 a month- but you can get your first box for $30 using the code Refer5 at https://musthave.popsugar.com/

Here’s what was in this month’s Popsugar box:

necklace

Gorjana open circle necklace // retail value $65
This is the 1 year anniversary gift that was included in the box! It’s cute and has a great length!

“This simple, yet sophisticated piece is perfect for everyday wear. We’d style this with a cute day dress for a weekend with friends or everyday workwear.” – PopSugar

stack

bentgo

Bentgo All-in-one Stackable Lunch Box // retail value $19.99
I’ve been wanting to buy this for a while! So happy they included this in the August box! It’s stackable and the utensils are in the box, how cute is this?!

“Even if you’re not kicking odd a new school year, there’s no time like the present to try out a new lunch routine. This Bentgo meal-storage container can keep your lunch well-organized and offers a great, eco-friendly way to eat healthy every day.” – PopSugar

ddaily

May designs weekly agenda notebook // retail value $17

I absolutely love this! I would rather have an agenda that I can write in verses an electronic agenda. I love how bright and happy this notebook is! They included a promo code to get either $5, $50, or $500- mine was worth $5.

“There’s only so much electronic calendars can do, and we’re still lost without our good old-fashioned weekly agenda stashed away in our bag everywhere we go.” – PopSugar

lulah

Lulah body wash // retail value $11.25
I’ve never heard of this brand, but I love trying new things! Popsugar included a 20% off promo code for a Lulah purchase at http://www.lulah.com. It also looks adorable in my shower! It smells so good!

What’s not to love about this Lulah body wash? It smells amazing, creates a luxurious lather to keep your skin clean and fresh, and is all wrapped up in cute packaging to brighten up your shower.” – PopSugar

apple

Lunares apple bowl // retail value $20?
How cute is this?! I love apples, and this is going to be a great to hold some of my jewelry! It can also be used as a snack bowl too, but I think it’s simply too beautiful to be used for food.

“An apple a day keeps the doctor away! This apple bowl may not be keeping you healthy, but it’s a great decorative addition to any desk, entryway table, or tablescape.” – Popsugar

grannyapples

Naturebox Granny Smith Apples // retail value $4

I love healthy snacks like this, but I didn’t love these. The texture was horrible, maybe it was just me? The eco-friendly bag was a nice touch, but some of the paper from the bag ended up on the apples . Popsugar teamed up with NatureBox and included a promo code for a 50% off promo code for my first NatureBox if I wanted to try it.

“We teamed up with these amazing monthly subscription NatureBox to bring you this healthy snack of apple rings. With no added sugars, these are perfect to enjoy when you need a quick treat in the middle of the day or when you’re on the go.” -PopSugar

preclean

Dermalogica PreCleanse and Special Cleansing Gel // retail value $15?
I haven’t tried this brand, but I’m always excited to try new things! If I like it, PopSugar included a 20% off promo code for me! skincare is so important to me and I love trying out

“Meet the two-step process that will change your skin regimen. First up is Dermalogica’s PreCleanse, which is an oil-based, water-soluble cleanser that rids skin of oil-based debris and pollutants. It’s formulated with plant oils. So it won’t clog your pores and will leave your skin ready for the cleansing gel.” -PopSugar

Verdict// I loved this box so much! I think that Popsugar does a great job of picking things that I will actually use! This box was  valued over $100 and I think it’s worth the $35 per month!

XOXO,

Erin

Glossybox July 2013

glossybox_july

I feel like a horrible blogger lately, I have been sick and really couldn’t sit down and finish a blog post the last couple of days so I apologize. I have so many things coming up this week on the blog!

This is my third month with Glossybox, and I’m really loving it so far! This is always the last box that arrives in the month. Glossybox is a beauty subscription box that usually has 4-5 items in the box. It costs $21 but the value of the box is usually way more than the cost! You can check out my reviews Here & Here. I was really excited to open my box, I didn’t look at any spoilers this month so this box was 100% surprise (But probably because I forgot about it)!

Here’s what I got in July’s box:

nailsinc

Nails Inc Baker Street Nail Polish // Mini size Value $4 – Love the color of this polish! This is actually the first time I’ve tried the Nails Inc brand and I really like them! The color was completely opaque when I applied it to my nails. I really love this bright blue!

Figs & Rouge Cherry Blossom Tinted Lip Balm Tube // Full-size Value $9 -I am excited to use this! I will take lip balm over lipstick any day!

Glossybox
Nicka K New York ABSOLUTE! Make-up Cleansing Tissues //10 sheets Value $1.49 – I love when boxes include make-up wipes! It’s something practical that I use almost every day. Glossybox has featured this brand before, and I really like them!

Evologie Intensive Blemish Serum //I received something like this in my July Birchbox and I’m not complaining! I love getting stuff for acne because I’ve fallen victim to adult acne 😦

glossybox

Bvlgari Shampoo & Shower Gel // 1 oz Value $6- I’m not sure if I love the scent of this, it’s ok, but not really my favorite.

Brazilian Blowout Acai Deep Conditioning Mask // 1 oz Value $5 – This smells good and I will definitely be using this on my poor dry & damaged hair.

I paid $21 for this box and I will use all of the items in the box! I was pleasantly surprised to see 6 items in my box! This box did not have an amazing value like some of the other boxes- but the face that I will use all of the products in this box makes it more valuable than most! Erin

July Bridge Box

Anyone else obsessed with beautiful stationary?! I don’t know what it is, but I am drawn to bright colors and beautiful paper goods!  Riverandbridge’s Bridge Box is simply perfect for my stationary hoarding! The idea behind the box is to send more snail mail, and I personally love getting hand written letters in the mail and sending letters in the mail!

Here’s what was in the Bridge Box:

aztec

*Navajo set of 2 folded cards //Retail Value $6.00- I absolutely love the colors of these, and I don’t own any notecards that look like this so that’s a major plus!

I  loved everything that came in the box! For $10 I think you get a lot for your money! I am absolutely loving Riverandbridge’s Etsy shop too! If you like pretty stationary and paper goods this box is for you!

About the box:
The cost: $10 plus shipping and handling (it was about $2-$3 to ship to me across the country)

What’s in the box: Each box will include stationery with a retail value of at least $15

If you purchase by the 15th of the month your box will be shipped by the 24th of the month! Make sure you include your name for any personalization in the job notes on Etsy.

House_of_Gemmes_box

If you’re obsessed or addicted to accessories and jewelry like I am, this is the perfect box for you! I’m so excited to show you what I got in my box! The lovely ladies at House of Gemmes collaborated with me so I could show you their  jewelry membership! They sent this box for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are always my own. I really felt like this box was totally me! I did not pick out any of the items in the box and they were a complete surprise!

The theme of this box was “Too Mod Too Handle” from their Mod collection.

hoot

I love white and gold together. I think they’re a match made in heaven! This ring also has a band that stretches! I’m not much of a ring girl, but I do love this! It goes with everything! I’m thinking about pairing this with a Little black dress, I think that it will be a classic and sophisticated combo. I will be wearing this ring the next time I go out and I will be posting some pictures on Instagram when I do!

My box was Valued at $104! That’s almost the cost of a year subscription!

The House of Gemmes is a quarterly subscription service. It is a one-time fee of $149 and you get a box every season. By the end of your one year membership, you will have received an estimated total value of over $300 worth of necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings! The customer service at House of Gemmes was amazing! The experience made me feel like I was a V.I.P. or close friend. I highly recommend trying out the membership.
