PopSugar Must Have Box August 2013

popsugaraugust

PopSugar Must-have box is definitely one of my favorite subscriptions. Every month they send me a box filled will full size  products and deluxe samples that is usually over $100 worth of a variety of beauty, fashion, snacks, home, reading, and more. It’s $35 a month- but you can get your first box for $30 using the code Refer5 at https://musthave.popsugar.com/

Here’s what was in this month’s Popsugar box:

necklace

Gorjana open circle necklace // retail value $65
This is the 1 year anniversary gift that was included in the box! It’s cute and has a great length!

“This simple, yet sophisticated piece is perfect for everyday wear. We’d style this with a cute day dress for a weekend with friends or everyday workwear.” – PopSugar

stack

bentgo

Bentgo All-in-one Stackable Lunch Box // retail value $19.99
I’ve been wanting to buy this for a while! So happy they included this in the August box! It’s stackable and the utensils are in the box, how cute is this?!

“Even if you’re not kicking odd a new school year, there’s no time like the present to try out a new lunch routine. This Bentgo meal-storage container can keep your lunch well-organized and offers a great, eco-friendly way to eat healthy every day.” – PopSugar

ddaily

May designs weekly agenda notebook // retail value $17

I absolutely love this! I would rather have an agenda that I can write in verses an electronic agenda. I love how bright and happy this notebook is! They included a promo code to get either $5, $50, or $500- mine was worth $5.

“There’s only so much electronic calendars can do, and we’re still lost without our good old-fashioned weekly agenda stashed away in our bag everywhere we go.” – PopSugar

lulah

Lulah body wash // retail value $11.25
I’ve never heard of this brand, but I love trying new things! Popsugar included a 20% off promo code for a Lulah purchase at http://www.lulah.com. It also looks adorable in my shower! It smells so good!

What’s not to love about this Lulah body wash? It smells amazing, creates a luxurious lather to keep your skin clean and fresh, and is all wrapped up in cute packaging to brighten up your shower.” – PopSugar

apple

Lunares apple bowl // retail value $20?
How cute is this?! I love apples, and this is going to be a great to hold some of my jewelry! It can also be used as a snack bowl too, but I think it’s simply too beautiful to be used for food.

“An apple a day keeps the doctor away! This apple bowl may not be keeping you healthy, but it’s a great decorative addition to any desk, entryway table, or tablescape.” – Popsugar

grannyapples

Naturebox Granny Smith Apples // retail value $4

I love healthy snacks like this, but I didn’t love these. The texture was horrible, maybe it was just me? The eco-friendly bag was a nice touch, but some of the paper from the bag ended up on the apples . Popsugar teamed up with NatureBox and included a promo code for a 50% off promo code for my first NatureBox if I wanted to try it.

“We teamed up with these amazing monthly subscription NatureBox to bring you this healthy snack of apple rings. With no added sugars, these are perfect to enjoy when you need a quick treat in the middle of the day or when you’re on the go.” -PopSugar

preclean

Dermalogica PreCleanse and Special Cleansing Gel // retail value $15?
I haven’t tried this brand, but I’m always excited to try new things! If I like it, PopSugar included a 20% off promo code for me! skincare is so important to me and I love trying out

“Meet the two-step process that will change your skin regimen. First up is Dermalogica’s PreCleanse, which is an oil-based, water-soluble cleanser that rids skin of oil-based debris and pollutants. It’s formulated with plant oils. So it won’t clog your pores and will leave your skin ready for the cleansing gel.” -PopSugar

Verdict// I loved this box so much! I think that Popsugar does a great job of picking things that I will actually use! This box was  valued over $100 and I think it’s worth the $35 per month!

Erin

July Bridge Box

Anyone else obsessed with beautiful stationary?! I don’t know what it is, but I am drawn to bright colors and beautiful paper goods!  Riverandbridge’s Bridge Box is simply perfect for my stationary hoarding! The idea behind the box is to send more snail mail, and I personally love getting hand written letters in the mail and sending letters in the mail!

Here’s what was in the Bridge Box:

product_card

stationary

*8 personalized tribal triangles note cards with envelopes // Value $7.50 – I absolutely love these! The paper is really thick and the design is beautiful! I love that it’s personalized too!

take_me_to_the_beach_

icecream3

PICKYOURPOISON

*Three Summer postcards //Retail Value $5- I love how bright and fun these are! My favorite out of the three is probably the “Take me to the beach” postcard.

aztec

*Navajo set of 2 folded cards //Retail Value $6.00- I absolutely love the colors of these, and I don’t own any notecards that look like this so that’s a major plus!

I  loved everything that came in the box! For $10 I think you get a lot for your money! I am absolutely loving Riverandbridge’s Etsy shop too! If you like pretty stationary and paper goods this box is for you!

FabFitFun VIP Summer Box

Fabfitfun

FabFitFun VIP Box is a new subscription box from Guiliana Rancic and FabFitFun. It’s a quarterly subscription box that is $49.99 every season. This is a review of the Summer Box. I’m just going to start off by saying that this review is WAY overdue. Apparently FabFitFun did not have my address in their system when they were shipping all of the boxes a couple weeks ago. I just got my box on Saturday July 27th, and was expecting it a few weeks ago. At least the customer service was really nice and emailed me to tell me what had happened.

Here’s what was in my FabFitFun VIP Box:
yes_to_cucumbers

Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes// Value $2.99
I have used these before and I love them! They’re really cool and refreshing!
orly

Orly Nail Polish // Value $8.50
I love getting nail polish in my subscription boxes! My collection is growing steadily but I didn’t have anything from Orly.kind
Kind Bar Dark Chocolate Chili Almond // Value $1.50
I enjoy getting Kind Bars in my subscription boxes! This is something that I will never get tired of getting! Obsessed! I’m not a dark chocolate fan- but this was simply amazing!

Catalinasu

Catalina Su Lip Gloss // Value $14
I have been getting a lot of lip gloss lately! Not complaining about this one bit though! I love this color and I think it’s flattering for any skin type. I love pink’s like this!
 surf_spray

It Hair Care Surf Spray// Value $7
I currently use “Not Your Mothers” beach spray, but I’m excited to try something new! This is something I will definitely use! Plus, it smells so good!

infinitysun

Infinity Sun Glow on the Go Sunless Tanner (Travel Size) // Value $35
I stopped going to the tanning salon because I realized my health is more important than my love of  being tan. I was kind of addicted.  After reading in Cosmopoitan that going to the tanning bed increases your risk for melanoma 2% every time you go, I immediately stopped going ! I didn’t look like I belonged on jersey shore- but I loved it. I’m glad that they included this in the box, I’m always on the search for the right sunless tanner!

evian

Evian Mineral Water Facial Spray //Value $12
I have always wanted to buy this but couldn’t justify spending $12 on water. This is supposed to be great for setting your makeup and refreshing your makeup throughout the day. Not something I would buy, but I am happy they put it in the box!

purlisse_milk_cleanser

Purlisse Delicate Gentle Soy Milk Cleanser // Value $36
I’m interested in trying this Cleanser. I like that it’s natural and won’t strip your face of your natural oils.

ivory_and_mason
 Ivory + Mason Sunglasses // Value $135
Really didn’t like these glasses… Luckily, Ivory + Mason will let you exchange your glasses for $10 and let you pick out a pair you would actually wear. I’m tempted on doing that! These don’t fit my face very well and I really don’t think I’d wear them.

I paid $49.95 for this box and it had the value of over $250!!!
Verdict: I loved almost everything in the box! The only thing I could’ve done without was the sunglasses. I’m excited to see what the Fall FabFitFun VIP box has to offer! Fall is definitely my favorite season by far! I Can’t wait to see what the next FabFitBox’s theme will be!

House of Gemmes Membership

House_of_Gemmes_box

If you’re obsessed or addicted to accessories and jewelry like I am, this is the perfect box for you! I’m so excited to show you what I got in my box! The lovely ladies at House of Gemmes collaborated with me so I could show you their  jewelry membership! They sent this box for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are always my own. I really felt like this box was totally me! I did not pick out any of the items in the box and they were a complete surprise!

The theme of this box was “Too Mod Too Handle” from their Mod collection.

hoot

Hoot earrings$24 retail value
I love owls, I’m actually obsessed with them. These are probably my favorite thing in the box! You can also buy these at HouseofGemmes.com (available in three colors: Coral, Black, or Sunshine)
 modnecklacemodnecklacce

Mod Floral Necklace $36 retail value
At first when I looked at the necklace, I didn’t love it. When I put it on, that all changed! I love the light pink, coral, pearl and gold hues of this necklace! I have an obsession with statement necklaces, and I think this will go nicely with my summer wardrobe! It’s definitely modern and makes a statement! You can also buy this necklace at HouseofGemmes.com
 Kristen_hassan

Gold bracelet – $28 retail value
This was from the Kristen Hassan collection. Kristen is the founder of House of Gemmes! I’m not sure if it’s still available, but it’s simply beautiful! It has a hinge so it fits perfectly. This is something that you can dress up or down and you could definitely wear this every day.

cocktail_ring

Square Cocktail Ring $16 value
I love white and gold together. I think they’re a match made in heaven! This ring also has a band that stretches! I’m not much of a ring girl, but I do love this! It goes with everything! I’m thinking about pairing this with a Little black dress, I think that it will be a classic and sophisticated combo. I will be wearing this ring the next time I go out and I will be posting some pictures on Instagram when I do!

My box was Valued at $104! That’s almost the cost of a year subscription!

The House of Gemmes is a quarterly subscription service. It is a one-time fee of $149 and you get a box every season. By the end of your one year membership, you will have received an estimated total value of over $300 worth of necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings! The customer service at House of Gemmes was amazing! The experience made me feel like I was a V.I.P. or close friend. I highly recommend trying out the membership.

Panty fly monthly subscription

I usually buy panties at Victoria’s secret or Aerie because they always have a deal like 5 for $25 or etc. I’m always drawn to those sales! When I found out that there were panty subscription services, I’m not going to lie, I was curious and excited! They seriously have subscription boxes for almost everything and I love it! Panty fly sent me 5 pairs of panties for free in exchange for a review.

pfky
Panty Fly has different subscription services to fit your needs and they are a lot more affordable than the 5 for $25 that are at the mall. The subscription service starts at only $9 and the most expensive monthly package is $12.
Here’s a list of the available packages:
1. Barely There Underwear Package (3 Panties monthly / $9) – thongs, and string bikini styles.
2. Sleek and Sexy Underwear Package (3 Panties Monthly / $9) – bikini, hi cut, hipster, and modern brief.
3. Mixing It Up Underwear Package (3 Panties Monthly $9) A mix of the Sleek and sexy and the Barely there packages.
4. 2 for 2 Underwear Membership– (2 for her, 2 for him Monthly /$12) – I’m not sure if they’restill offering this as an option or not. I did not see it on the Panty Fly website, but I know that it was on there when I was looking on there about a week or two ago. You pick out 2 pairs and your significant other can pick out 2 pairs.

If I had to choose any of the packages, I think I would lean more towards the “Barely There” Package.

undies

Here’s what I received:
*All of the panties that were sent to me were from the brand “Steve” I have never heard of this brand and could not find anything about them online. Panty Fly works with different brands.

purple

blue
I really liked these, both pairs were really comfy and they weren’t peeking out of my jeans which I appreciated.

pink

These were my favorite! I like thongs, but I love anything with lace! These fit really nice and they were really comfy. They were low enough that they didn’t peek out of my jeans.

stripes pink
I wasn’t a fan of these to be honest. It’s not really my style, they were a little big.

stripes

I liked the design of these but not really the full coverage. They were comfy though and they’re growing on me.

Overall, I liked the variety of products I was sent. I would’ve liked to see some other brands other than one that was included. I’ll be looking at some other panty/lingerie services to compare and see if I would want to pay monthly for a subscription service like this.
If you want to check out Panty fly you can go to Pantyfly.com. I think that $9 is a realistic price to pay for 3 pairs of undies. I do like to pick out my own panties, but for $9 this was a great deal!

The package was 100% discrete and the address said “Pfly instead of Panty Fly. Inside of the package was a brown bag with all of the panties in it.

Would you subscribe to a monthly panty service? What did you think of Panty fly?
